Privacy Notice

VibeCheckThis does not require an account. Vibes are public to anyone who has the link, so do not submit confidential information or personal information you do not have permission to share. Public content may be copied, reshared, or indexed by search engines.

We use information only to provide, protect, and support the service. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use personal information for targeted advertising.

• Content and activity: titles, images, text, links, poll settings, votes, vote totals, and related timestamps.
• Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, request details, and security events generated when you use the service.
• Automation information: random caller identifiers, protocol metadata, and a per-vibe management capability when a client sends it with a management request. We do not intentionally store the raw capability in our database or application logs.
• Cookies and browser storage: essential cookies that support creator controls and security, plus a random browser identifier, a list of vibes created in that browser, and local vote history.
• Messages and reports: information you include when you contact us about privacy, abuse, safety, copyright, or support.

• Publish vibes, record votes, and provide creator controls.
• Prevent spam, duplicate voting, misuse, and attempts to disrupt the service.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve reliability and security.
• Respond to reports and requests, enforce our Terms, protect people, and comply with legal obligations.

• With people who receive a vibe link: vibe content and any results the creator chooses to make visible. We do not intentionally display IP addresses, browser identifiers, or creator cookies.
• With service providers: Cloudflare provides hosting, storage, security, and human-verification services. Google delivers the site fonts. These providers receive information needed to perform those services, including ordinary connection and browser information. Cloudflare and our email provider also process messages you send us.
• For legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate a report, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of people or the service.

If you use an MCP client, coding agent, terminal service, or model provider, that third party may process and retain your prompts, tool inputs, tool outputs, vibe content, and management capabilities under its own terms and privacy practices. Choose a client and retention policy you trust.

Vibes are designed to expire after seven days. A creator can delete a vibe sooner while creator access remains available. Deletion may not happen at the exact expiration time, and limited records may remain temporarily in recovery systems or longer for security reviews, abuse reports, disputes, or legal requirements. Unpublished uploads are kept only briefly while a vibe is being created.

Temporary session, voting, security, and operational records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose. Reports, correspondence, and related records may be kept longer when needed to address safety, abuse, disputes, or legal obligations. The creator cookie expires automatically. Browser identifiers, your local vibe list, and local vote history remain until you clear site data or your browser removes them.

Deleting a machine-created vibe removes its poll content and vote records. A minimal deletion control record may remain for about 24 hours to make retries safe, and a content-free database record may remain for up to 30 days before routine cleanup. Moderation, abuse, dispute, and legal records may be retained longer when necessary.

Copies saved or shared by other people, search engines, browsers, archives, or other third parties may remain outside our control.

We use the essential cookies and browser storage described above. We do not use advertising cookies or track your activity across unrelated sites for advertising. Because we do not perform that kind of tracking, browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change how VibeCheckThis operates.

You can clear VibeCheckThis cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so may remove creator controls, your local vibe list, and local vote history. Cloudflare and Google may process information under their own privacy policies when providing their services.

The VibeCheckThis command line interface stores a random caller ID and any saved management capabilities in a local configuration file on your device. That file is not encrypted. Deleting it removes the local copy and may remove your ability to manage those vibes. The file is not uploaded as a whole to VibeCheckThis.

Use creator controls to delete a vibe while creator access is available. For a machine-created vibe, use the saved capability with the CLI, MCP, or JSON API deletion operation. For another deletion request, include the vibe link when you contact us. We may ask for information needed to verify the request.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain uses of personal information. Send a request to abuse@vibecheckthis.com. Because the service has no user accounts and much of its data is not directly identifying, we may not be able to connect every record to a particular person.

The service is for a general audience age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us at abuse@vibecheckthis.com so we can review it.

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect the information we handle, but no internet service can promise perfect security. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this notice as the service changes. We will post the updated notice and effective date here.
